Today, while walking to school I was listening to Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run.”

Now that might not seem some seminal event worthy of a blog entry, but there was a time when I did not like Bruce Springsteen. In fact, I couldn’t stand his music.

Once back in 1984 when I was a DJ at The Right Place, a psuedo yuppie bar in La Salle, Illinois I refused to play “Born in the U.S.A.” Suffice to say I did not last too long as a DJ at that bar.

Well, that was a different time and I wasn’t into that kind of music. I was still into Punk, New Wave, and pretty much anything that wasn’t mainstream.

People change, as do their musical tastes.

Ever since I bought the iPod Nano earlier this year (and have it hanging from my neck practically everywhere I go)I have gotten into a lot of music that I normally wouldn’t have listened to as much.
