Picture of the Day: Row of Buddhas at Haw Pha Kaew — Vientiane, Laos

A row of Buddha statues outside Haw Pha Kaew in Vientiane.

Interestingly, this temple is no longer a temple, but it is a museum of Buddhist artifacts. Of course, if you are up on your history of Laos and Vientiane then you know that this temple once housed the Emerald Buddha–yes, the Emerald Buddha now housed in Wat Phra Kaeo (notice the similarity in name) in Bangkok.

Feel better We all have some of those days. Today I intended to have a long run and ended up with a nice asthma attack because of the cold wind. I love the UD liners. I think they are awesome! Don’t really have a favorite except I have enjoyed layering Woodstock over UD’s traditional black liner. I enjoy herbal tea, too, especially when I have a good day off.

My first visit to the Sultan and I am delighted. This article is a jewel. Beautiful and long-lasting. David, you will be able to republish it four years from now irrespective of the election outcome with only name changes to make or not however it turns out.Cataclysmic events may take place between now and them which would moot that opinion. In this real universe, you never know.
