The latest reader’s review of Ice Cream Headache:
Part Winesburg, Ohio, part Raymond Carver, Jeffrey Miller’s Ice Cream Headache seamlessly weaves an emotional and visceral tapestry of small town life in America’s Midwest. Told through a vivid narrative and set amongst the backdrop of the Vietnam War, it adroitly captures the hope and despair of its interconnected characters, while providing the reader a glimpse into a time gone by.
A page turner in every sense, it grabs the reader right from the beginning and doesn’t let go until its climatic finish.
Anderson and Carver are two of my favorite writers. I’m in good company.
