It’s going to be another scorcher here in Daejeon today and it doesn’t look like the rainy season, or changma as it is called in Korean, is going to start today, at least not here in Daejeon.

Last week the KMA (Korean Meteorological Administration) reported that the rainy season was to hit the peninsula this week. Well, they’ve been off before with some of their predictions. So far, it’s been nothing but blue skies with a few clouds now and then and hot, very hot days.

Last night I had to walk up a small hill to one of the buildings on the Woosong campus for my evening class and by the time I got there I was soaking wet. Fortunately the classroom was air conditioned.

It’s going to be another long, hot summer in Korea.
